The Fightin Word (TFW) - enlisted exegesis for rank and file believers
The full scope of TFW will include a Bible paraphrase like The Message, but with sharper edges in spots. It will be hosted at pewpewhq.com/tfw and there will be several slugs/sub URLs for complimentary brands, like the podcast, Fightin Words, which will have two main threads.
The first I am calling “Lit(urgical) Sundays,” which will be released every week on Spotify and YouTube and follow the three year RCL cycle. Slugs will follow a pattern based on Lit Year (/a-, /b-, or /c-) and Lit Season; a for Advent, x for Christmas, e for Epiphanytide, l for Lent, h for Eastertide, and P for post pentecost Propers. The letter for each season will be followed by a two digit number indicating which week. For example (imagine the URL pewpewhq.com/ in front of each slug);
The second main thread under Fightin Words will be individual word studies of Greek and Hebrew Strong’s Numbers as reference points, using four numerical digits. For example;
The word studies will ONLY be text based, no audio or video included.
Finally I intend to interview subjects for a more straightforward expert/guest/host podcast style, which will be indicated by ep and three numerical digits indicating episode numbers. I may group them by playlist, like how I have been interviewing people connected to GruntGod. In the future I may want to challenge people to debates by Zoom, which I would include in my RSS feed. For example;
In the future, and as I make my way through the RCL readings for sundays, I want to include Biblical books that I have paraphrased based on the World English Bible US version, which I can post online since it is in the public domain. I will then be able to hyperlink to different books, individual words, etc. and my sundays can link directly to the texts when I hyperlink the readings to their respective book. URLs will include a three letters to indicate book followed by a two digit number. Psalms would be abbreviate ps and use three numerical digits since it contains 150 ‘books’. For example;
