שָׁאוּל

šā'ûl (H7586), “sought out, desired”

Σαῦλος (g4569) saulos

Παῦλος (g3972) paulos

from Tarsus

Tribe of Benjamin, same as 🤴Psaul, son of Kish

In acts, he does not change his name, Luke does it for him, in Acts 13. Chapters 1-13 use Saul, and 13-27 use Paul. The flip occurs with Sergius Paulus ☧ of Cyprus. I wonder how this maps onto Philippi as a ‘continental’ shift from Afroasia to EurAnglo.
